Numb and Number (Week 15)

Carpal tunnel in my left hand is getting pretty annoying. With its front suspension, steel frame, and big fat tires, I think the Spot Rocker SS 27.5+ has probably helped quite a bit on the off-road rides, but I should probably make some modifications to my fully rigid Cannondale Trail SL 29er. That rigid aluminum fork probably transmits every little bump in the road directly into my hands. Maybe I’ll start with some new grips and/or a carbon bar.

P.S. Credit to my buddy Rich for the post title.

I hope you can turn that nasty CTS stuff around. Good luck.

Thanks! I did order a new handlebar (Salsa Bend 2 with 23 degree sweep) and some grips (Oury, I always liked them). The bar isn’t carbon but the significant sweep should help I think. We’ll see.
